On this 6-hour + (7 hours for added beer or wine tasting options) customizable exploration, you will discover Palermo Viejo’s culinary secrets while walking its cobblestoned, tree-lined streets and enjoying its food, history, and vibrant art.
It’s usually best to start a story from the beginning and that’s what we do on this tour starting with what used to be the doorway to Buenos Aires, after a short typical Porteño breakfast.
We will learn how the city’s parks and tree-lined boulevards were first inspired and planned from this area, and that curiously enough is home to one of the continent’s oldest monuments.
You will sample Argentina’s famous steak in a non-touristy location, as well as relish the emblematic Argentine sandwich. You will also get to sample some of the local favorite appetizers and snacks.
One of our food stops has a craft beer option, but there is also a variety of additional craft beer quaffing opportunities. Each place is different so depending on what you like, we can pick and choose. We can also add a wine tasting, if you like, in the middle of all of that food.
While walking from one place to the next we will have some time to admire local street art. This is a tour that you experience with all of your senses and you will enjoy plenty of picture taking opportunities.
Breakfast – We start the way locals do with coffee and medialunas and we chose a local place that is well known for their medialunas.
Parks & Plazas – We visit the most emblematic opens spaces of Palermo Viejo and get a taste of some of the neighborhood's history.
Steak – We are in Argentina so there's no getting around this, but we will take you to places that are not on the tourist's radar screen for some great steak. You will be eating with locals on this tour!
Choripan – Argentina's emblematic sandwhich! You will get some of the best ones here.
Street Art – This neighborhood is filled with street art and we will visit some of the most important ones on this tour.
Craft Beer (optional) – If you are into craft beer you can opt to add the craft beer option to this tour and we will visit some great local craft beer joints to get you acquainted with the local craft beer scene.
Wine Tasting (optional) – If you are into wine you can opt to add the wine tasting option to this tour and we will visit a boutique hotel with a wine cellar where we will taste boutique wines from different regions of the country. The types of wines are subject to availability.
