Dear Dancer,
If you’re training to be a top performer and you’d like some help improving your results, we’d be happy to help... for free.
Our team at RNH will set aside a half-hour or so to review your current training plan, your personal goals and your current weaknesses, and help you improve things so that you can reach your goals quicker. It's a pretty simple process. You tell us what you're hoping to accomplish, we take a look at what you're doing, find out the best ways to make everything work better, and then share our ideas with you. And we do it for free.
Some (but not all) of the dancers we do this for end up asking us to provide their training for them.
So our hope is that we help you so much that you ask us about becoming part of our community.
Pretty straightforward.
But - just to be clear - this really is a complete audit of your training and an in-depth consultation on how to make this better.
The first thing we look to do is look at your current training and completely eliminate any wasted time
Here’s how:
Most dancers haven’t improved in years, and this is usually down to them repeating the same type of training year in year out, in the hope that something new will happen. This isn’t your fault, you just haven’t been told anything differently.
So the first thing we do is we find out exactly what your'e repeating that isn’t working and we change it, sparking changes and a new growth in your performance.
Goal-setting is the holy grail to all progress, because you have a clear date that you want to work towards and you know you get a break at the end. It allows us to map all of your training to that one main day where you can peak followed by a rest and a change of training.
This means that not only can you be at your best for when it is most important, but you have scheduled breaks allowing you body to recover and avoiding any unnecessary injuries at the same time.
Here’s how it works:
You give us the main competitions of the year.
Then we create a system where you can break your year up into different blocks before the competitions, and then you can follow a clear 10-12 weeks of training leading into your big day!
Another way we might help you is by looking at your own personal weaknesses.
If you’re like most dancers, you’re stuck in a school where the classes are tailored to the whole group. And so whilst you’re working hard, a lot of what you’re working on depends on what the rest of the class needs and not always designed around what YOU need.
Irish dancing is an individual performing sport, and so whilst is great to be able to train in a group, you also need to set aside some time to work on your own weaknesses. and we will show you how to carve this time out as this is where most of your improvements will come from.
There is saying that if you want to improve the fastest you need to fix your weakest area first, yet I have seen dancers with turnout issues lasting over 5 years, but spending time at home practicing the same steps they are already doing in class.
Whilst the effort and drive is there, the correct training structure is not. and so my team at RNH can discuss your own personal weaknesses and show you how to fix them and plan this personal training time into your schedule so that you can get the individual assistance that you need.
Another thing we'll help you do is make use of your home practice time
Dancing at class is not the only thing world class dancers are doing. In-fact most of their time is spent practicing the personal needs at home.
Whether it is stretching, core training, technique work or injury prevention, they make use of every second of their time, just as I did during my training to winning my 6 back to back world titles.
Now it is my turn to work with you completely free, and show you how.
This way - you’re constantly staying in front of the trend, and replicating what every other champion that came before you is doing.
Not only does home practice improve your performance but when you have the right home practice plan, it becomes a massive boost to your mindset and creates belief that you are doing everything possible you can do.
The way a dancers mind works is simple.
You arrive at a competition and hope that everything you have done up until now works. You then remember all those times you didn’t put in the work, or remember that you haven’t improved in a few years and have just been completing the same type of training. Then you ask yourself why would my result be any different this time around?
You know you have weaknesses and injuries that haven’t been addressed, and you step on stage with no where near as much confidence as you need to win, but you tell yourself its ok, and its a learning experience, only to go back and repeat the same thing in class once again.
I don’t know about you, but if I was not improving year after year, and repeating the same training, I would not be confident either. And so this is why things need to change for you.
Confidence comes from knowing that you have put in as much effort as possible before the competition, AND that the effort has been directed to the correct type of training for you, the type that actually produces results.
Along with this, there is one other way we can be sure to boost your mindset..
Irish dancing is not a measurable sport, which means you are relying on judging feedback and human marking to score your effort. That is, unless we have a way to measure your performance leading into the competition so that you can physically see your performance before going on stage. Which we do! Our assessment of your training will come with some free fitness testing recommendations so that you know how to test your fitness levels before you begin your training and right before the competition begins, meaning not only are you working much smarter than ever before but you can actually see real numbers and check how much you have improved right before your big day. Can you imagine the effect this has on a dancers mindset, knowing they are going in faster and more powerful than ever before? We can. We have proven time and time again that dancers who complete fitness testing and see their performance improve are 70% more likely to step on stage with a stronger mindset and deliver a better performance. Which One Of These Approache
Look. There's no such thing as a "one size fits all" approach to improving your dance performance. If there was, we would just record one video and send it out to thousands of dancers to watch at once. Instead, we want to talk to you personally and chat about your own personal needs. And when we are prepared to set aside hundreds of hours for these conversations, versus just one hour of one recording one video for everyone, it should show you just how important individuality is, and highlight why you absolutely want to grab one of these free slots for a free review. Your training is unique, and that's why we've set aside the time to really take a deep dive for you and h elp you create a custom plan that is suitable to you and your schedule..
Our hope is that you get so much value from the experience that you want to us to handle your training for you. So if that sounds good to you, just fill in your details below and we'll reach out and schedule a time to talk. Thanks so much for reading this and we look forward to turning around your performance and making your next competition your best one.
